Elderly Woman Assaulted in Home After Break In

Hingham, MA – An elderly woman was sexually assaulted in her home last night. The suspect, who had broken into the home, fled before Officers arrived.

On Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 9:02pm the resident called 9-1-1 reporting the incident. The suspect had gained entry into the home by forcing open a ground floor window. He sexually assaulted her and fled on foot. Numerous Officers, including a Police K9, responded but were not able to locate him. The incident took place in her home in North Hingham. To ensure the victims privacy, her age and neighborhood are not being released.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 65 years old, gray thinning hair, brown eyes and a thin build. The victim does not know the suspect.
