ATM Machine Broken Into
Hingham, MA – Detectives are investigating a break into an ATM machine in which the cash was stolen.
At Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 6am, a customer attempted to use the ATM machine in Anchor Plaza on Lincoln Street. The customer inserted his card in the machine and it became jammed. He then noticed a screwdriver on the floor and called police. Officers found the service door beside the ATM had been forced open. Inside that service room the wires had been cut and the rear of the ATM cut open. The cash was stolen.
This ATM is inside a small lobby beside Bruegger’s Bagel. The ATM is visible to Lincoln Street (Route 3A) traffic. It occurred sometime overnight.
