Business Break-In Under Investigation

Front door glass shattered & rock on the business floor

Hingham, MA - An overnight break yesterday into a business at the Derby Street Shoppes is under investigation. 

On Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 12:50am Officers responded to a burglar alarm activation at the Lunette Optic store at 92 Derby St. They found one of the front doors smashed, a pry bar on the sidewalk in front of the store and a large rock on the floor inside the business. Several display cases had been forced open and glasses were stolen. 

The suspect(s) attempted to pry open the front door with the pry bar then smashed the glass door with a rock. Several display cases were pried open. The number of items stolen has not been determined yet.
