Hingham, MA – Police are investigating a break into a South Hingham restaurant that occurred Sunday morning.
On September 16, 2018 at 6:15am Officers were sent to the Scarlet Oak Tavern on Main Street (Route 228) after employees arriving for work discovered the restaurant had been broken into. Officers found the alarm wires outside had been cut and entry was made by removing several cinder blocks from the basement. An office door had been forced open and an attempt was made to open the safe. The suspect(s) were not able to open the safe and it unclear what was taken.
