Hingham, MA- Officers responded to a report of two individuals actively breaking into motor vehicles. The first responding officer located the vehicle the parties were believed to be operating and the individuals fled on foot. A K9 unit was called to the scene and a firearm was found during the track.
On November 3, 2025 at approximately 12:30am, a resident of Beal’s Cove Village called reporting seeing two individuals attempting to enter parked motor vehicles in the complex. The caller stated the two were in an Audi SUV speeding from lot to lot and attempting to open the doors of parked motor vehicles.
The first officer on scene observed an occupied Audi SUV in one of the parking lots and activated their cruiser emergency lights to initiate a motor vehicle stop. The Audi then accelerated and attempted to exit the parking lot. When exiting it drove over large boulders at the edge of the lot and the vehicle immediately began leaking oil as it sustained major undercarriage damage. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in the complex and two occupants exited and fled. The Audi SUV involved was later reported stolen out of Medford.
The Weymouth Police and Massachusetts State Police assisted in attempting to locate the suspects in the area. A K9 unit from the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene and began a K9 track. During the course of the track a firearm was located under a vehicle in the vicinity where the suspects fled. The suspects were not located.
