Hingham, MA -  Today Officers arrived at the Hingham Middle School at approximately 7:30am after we were made aware of a social media group chat between students. In working with the school administration, the student was located and it was quickly determined that there was no current danger at the school. 

The social media post on Snapchat made reference to a past shooting threat. The Hingham Middle School does have a School Resource Officer assigned full time to the school. The incident remains under investigation and there are no charges at this time.  The Hingham Police will continue to have an increased presence at our schools today. ### Contact P.I.O. Lt.
