Hingham will welcome home United States Army Specialist James Ippolito on Thursday night. He is returning from an extended tour of duty in the Korean Peninsula. As our community has done with other returning service members, we will proudly escort him through Hingham along with members of the Fire Department and Veterans Departments.
As a sign of gratitude for his service to our Country, please line the streets with your flags waving, as he is escorted home. His flight is set to arrive Thursday, November 2, 2017, at 7:30pm at Logan Airport. We will meet him just off Derby St. (off exit 15 in front of Best Chevrolet) and the escort will turn left on Cushing St., left on Main St. (Route 228), left onto Central St. (passing Hingham Town Hall), turning left onto North St. to the family home.
As flights and traffic may adjust the timing, we will post real time updates on the Hingham Police Twitter and Facebook pages to let residents know when the actual escort will begin.
